The WH-1000XM6 use Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 and Integrated Processor V2 to control 12 microphones in real time, delivering stronger, more adaptive noise cancellation than previous XM models. ANC is tuned to reduce a wide range of frequencies from cabin rumble to office chatter, while Adaptive Sound Control can adjust settings based on your activity and environment. Custom 30 mm drivers, support for LDAC and DSEE Extreme upscaling provide detailed, balanced sound that has been tuned with mastering engineers for a more neutral, studio-like presentation.

Calls, Comfort & Design
A six-microphone beamforming system near your mouth, combined with AI-based noise reduction and Precise Voice Pickup, focuses on your voice and filters background noise for clearer calls. The lightweight over-ear design (around 254 g) features soft ear cushions, a wider, redesigned headband and improved clamp force for long listening comfort. Unlike the XM5, the WH-1000XM6 return to a fully foldable earcup design, fitting into a smaller travel case with a magnetic closure for easier packing.

Connectivity, Battery & Smart Features
Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint lets you connect to two devices at once, switching between phone calls and laptop audio seamlessly. Battery life is up to around 30 hours with ANC on, with quick charging that provides several hours of playback from a short top-up.
